Ancestral Readings

Sometimes the most important things your ancestors want you to know never made it into the records. This is a warm, private session where I connect intuitively with those in your family line who have passed on — with honesty, care, and deep respect for whatever you believe.

Best for: Anyone seeking connection, comfort, or closure with loved ones who have passed on.

What Is an Ancestral Reading?

An ancestral reading is an intuitive session focused specifically on your family line. During a session I open myself to receive impressions, feelings, images, names, and messages connected to those in your ancestry who have passed. The focus is always your family — the people whose blood, stories, and patterns you carry.

Ancestral readings are different from general psychic readings because they are rooted in family. They are not about prediction or fortune telling. They are about connection — the kind that can bring comfort, healing, and a sense of being accompanied by those who came before you.

I come to this work without a label. My practice is personal, sincere, and shaped by years of sitting with families and their histories in ways both documented and undocumented. What I can tell you is that I approach every session with genuine care, complete honesty, and deep respect for you and your family.

What Happens During a Session

Every reading is different because every family is different. Here is what you can generally expect:

Before your session I ask you to share at least one of the following so I can connect to your specific family line: a photograph of a loved one who has passed, family names, or basic family information such as places and dates. It helps me orient to your specific family line. This does not need to be extensive, even a name and a photograph is enough. But some point of connection to your family is needed for me to do this work well, so please come prepared with something to share.

During the session I am in a focused, receptive state and open to the energies and impressions of your ancestral line. I share what I receive as it comes — feelings, images, names, messages, personality impressions, and sometimes specific details about circumstances or experiences. I share honestly and do not embellish or interpret heavily in the moment. What comes through is what I share.

After the session I do my best to send you a written summary of what came through. Because impressions often arrive quickly and move through me in the moment, I encourage you to take notes during the session or bring someone with you to help capture what is shared. Some of what comes through may not make sense right away — a name, an image, a feeling that doesn't connect to anything you know yet. That is completely normal. Clients often find that something that felt unclear in the session clicks into place days or weeks later when a conversation happens, a memory surfaces, or a record is found. I encourage you to hold everything lightly and let it settle in its own time.

Occasionally, and I cannot promise this, impressions that surface during a reading connect in meaningful ways to what genealogical records reveal. When that happens it can be a remarkable experience. But I offer readings and research as separate services and never claim that one will validate the other.

What an Ancestral Reading Is Not

An ancestral reading is not a guaranteed conversation with a specific person. I cannot promise that a particular ancestor will come through or that every impression will be verifiable or meaningful to you. I work with what presents itself and I share it honestly — including when very little comes through.

An ancestral reading is not therapy. If you are in active grief or working through a mental health challenge, I encourage you to seek professional support alongside or before pursuing a reading.

An ancestral reading is not fortune telling. I do not predict the future. I open to impressions from the past and present them with care.

Who Seeks Ancestral Readings

People come to ancestral readings for many different reasons and from many different belief systems.

Those who are grieving and want to feel close to someone they have lost. Those who carry unanswered questions their ancestors never answered in life. Those who sense a presence in their family but cannot explain it. Those who have done genealogy research and feel there is something beyond the records they want to reach toward. Those who are working through generational patterns and want to connect with the people behind them. Those who simply feel called — for reasons they may not be able to fully articulate.

Whatever brings you here, you are welcome. No particular spiritual belief is required or assumed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to believe in this for it to work? No particular belief is required. Many people come with genuine uncertainty or even skepticism and still find the experience meaningful. I only ask that you come with an open mind and a sincere desire to connect.
What if the person I want to reach doesn't come through? It happens. Ancestral readings work with whoever is present and willing to communicate. Sometimes unexpected ancestors come through with the most important messages. I will always tell you honestly what I am and am not receiving.
Is this connected to a specific religion or spiritual tradition? No. I do not practice within a specific religious framework and I do not impose any belief system on the work. Ancestral connection is a deeply human experience that appears across virtually every culture and tradition in history.
Can a reading connect to genealogical research? Sometimes impressions that surface in a reading feel connected to what historical records reveal — a name, a place, a circumstance. When that happens it can be meaningful and moving. But I offer readings and research as separate services and I never promise that one will confirm the other.
How do I prepare for my session? Come with an open heart. Have a photograph of a loved one or some basic family information ready to share. You may want to take notes or bring someone with you to help capture what comes through. Give yourself some quiet time afterward to sit with what came through.
Is this confidential? Yes. Everything shared in a session stays between us. I treat every reading with the same privacy and care I bring to all client work.
